Site visit (22 July)

I left Marrakech in a taxi this morning, hoping to escape the 44 degree heat and found it was even hotter in the mountains - that is definitely unusual. But no choice; the l’Amandier site was due a visit.

Spring has well and truely sprung in the Atlas mountains. From the brow of the hill, the L’Amandier plateau looked particularly stunning today as it was wearing a spring blanket of yellow wild flowers and scarlet poppies. Not something I was expecting at all.
