The snow has almost disappeared from the surrounding mountains and the temperature has risen, but the flowers remain in full colour. And we’ve been snagging on site, and more.

I’m happy that the electrics are now positioned correctly and the bathroom countertops are at the correct height (ahem…we had to pull one down and start again…but hey, it has to be right!), the roof is watertight and the stair-towers are clad in their slim red bricks.

The ceilings have been plastered this week. I was astonished to discover that the guys make all the plasterboard on site! Somehow I can’t quite see builders in the UK taking the time to do this.

Take the fibers that hold it all together…

Mix it with the plaster and spread into a mold…

Leave to dry…and repeat.

Seeing the ceilings white and smooth makes a huge difference and the door frames are also now in place.

Both go a long way towards being able to visualise the finished villas. Before you know it we’ll be offering you coffee from the terrace of the furnished villa! Well maybe not quite yet; but soon…
