Windows of opportunity…

Now let it first be said that we love Nick, our esteemed architect. He is a gentle soul with a passion for design and also the beautiful land of Morocco. He likes things done right, but will bend with grace to compromises that must sometimes be met when London based architects meet Moroccan builders. OK, sometimes he will throw his toys…and it’s so amusing to see!

So when we broached the subject of including additional large windows in the villa bedrooms to increase the view of the stunning surroundings for future clients lounging in their PJs in bed, he was initially reluctant. OK, so I won’t repeat his exact words (he would be shocked at himself).

But here’s the thing. Much as we would love to keep L’Amandier a delicious secret and give villas to all our friends and family, sadly we cannot. As well as a labour of love and dreams, this is also a commercial venture and the intention is to sell some more of these villas. And in order to sell you need to listen to constructive criticism from potential clients and even from agents.  Windows were becoming an issue. So we listened. And then Nick took up his architectural pencil and started sketching…

We love the end result and so, secretly, does Nick. We hope you do too.
