One day soon, we’d love you come to visit our Moroccan villas. Maybe you’d like to join our beautiful L’Amandier community and are considering a holiday home. Or maybe you would like to rent a villa for a holiday in a gorgeous mountain location. Perhaps you are curious and just want to come say hello. Whatever your reason, you are always welcome. And that welcome would be extended from all our neighbours.

La Bergerie Hotel is one of our closest neighbours – just down the road in fact. La bergerie literally means ‘the sheep-pen’ in English (or l’azib in Berber, in case you are interested…), but fear not, this hotel is not for the likes of sheep! It is wonderfully warm and welcoming, and unobtrusively blends with the hillside and its surroundings.

French couple, Francoise and Christian, fell in love with the Ouirgane Valley some years ago and bought a piece of land. They had a vision and have nurtured it from modest beginnings to a 16 bedroom mountain retreat with a cosy restaurant and bar. It’s an excellent base for treks or exploring the local area by car, or a place to simply relax by the pool, sample the French and Moroccan cuisine, and take in the superb scenery.

All the employees are local and wonderfully hospitable. And we speak from experience as we often take a break for lunch or coffee at La Bergerie if we are working on site at L’Amandier. It’s an absolute pleasure to wind down there before heading back to the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.
