The vision for the L’Amandier villas is well underway and quickly taking shape. It definitely felt this way during a recent visit to the site when Echarif presented us with the first échantillons (samples) of some of the finishings we will be using to create the contemporary villas with a Moroccan twist.

Decisions, decisions on the roof terrace tiles…

We finally settled on a natural colour that will keep a continuation of the natural bejmat tiles that form the floors throughout the rest of the villa.

The decorative metal grills for the bedroom wall lights above the beds…

These will be finished in black, which will look beautifully clean against the natural tadelakt walls.

“I am the lightbulb” proclaimed Said. This will go down on the list of classic ‘Said-isms’, which one day we’ll collate for you.

The wooden carved design of the interior doors…

The different colours were provided as alternative choices, but we’re sticking with the black.

The team debate the échantillons and remarkably swiftly agree on the final colurs and finishings.
